Visit of TT Gaskets and Amorim Cork Composites Representatives

On 29 May 2017, representatives of the Finnish TT Gaskets and Amorim Cork Composites and the Portugese Amorim Cork Composites visited Izolyator plant.

TT Gaskets (Finland) is one of the leading Nordic manufacturers of gaskets and shims. High-quality and customer-specific sealing solutions have led to successful co-operation with various industrial fields, such as the engine, valve, energy, metal, chemical, paper, pulp, marine, food processing, and plastics industries, as well as the environmental technology industry. Almost half of the products manufactured at Tampere production unit are exported, mainly to the Nordic countries and Central Europe, but also to Asia and to North and South America.

Amorim Cork Composites belong to Corticeira Amorim, one of Portugal’s largest industrial groups and has become the global cork industry world leader, its main business sector grouped into four fields: stoppers, floor and wall coverings, insulation and composites. The cork not incorporated into the stopper industry represents the ideal raw material for the creation of products tailored to the needs of different industries: construction, home and office decoration, as well as design and functional objects, and the development of materials for hi-tech industries, such as, the automobile, aeronautical and aerospace industrial sectors.

The guests were received by the Deputy Chief Designer Pavel Kiryukhin and the Head of Procurement Vladimir Romanov.

The hosts arranged for a plant tour familiarizing the guests with the main production stages of HV RIP bushings.

During the visit, the sides discussed technical features and purchasing plans for sealings, which are made by TT Gaskets of Amorim Cork Composites materials. These parts are used in designs of Izolyator high-voltage bushings.
